Medicare Card Holders

Most standard consultations are bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients. There is no out-of-pocket cost for Medicare-covered services.

Services Included in Bulk Billing

Patients who hold a valid Medicare card — including Australian citizens and permanent residents, with or without a concession, healthcare, or pension card — are bulk billed for:

Acupuncture Services

Acupuncture consultations are privately billed with a Medicare rebate available:

Level B Consultation

Short to standard duration appointment.

Level C Consultation

Longer appointment for more complex care.

Private Services (Not Covered by Medicare)

Any medical service that does not attract a Medicare rebate will incur a private fee. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Pre-employment medical assessments
  • WorkCover and compensation assessments/examinations
  • Driver’s licence medicals (including commercial vehicle licensing)
  • Drug and Alcohol
  • Clearance (DAC) assessments
  • WorkCover
  • Iron infusions
  • Certain medical procedures not covered by Medicare
  • Vehicle medical examinations
  • Commercial vehicle licensing medicals

Non-Medicare Patients

Patients who do not hold a valid Medicare card — including overseas visitors or those not eligible for Medicare — will be charged privately according to the following schedule:

Additional fees may apply for procedures, investigations, or services beyond the standard consultation.
